Roads Observations

1) Spanish bachelor/master's degree or equivalent

2) EHEA bachelor/master’s degree provided that in the country issuing the degree it entitles access to master’s degree studies.

  • The master’s degree coordinator and the Master’s Degree Study Committee must verify that the degree or equivalent gives access to the master’s
3) Officially recognized degree
  • Processing falls with the Ministry.

4) Non-recognized bachelor’s degree from outside the EHEA of equivalent training to a Spanish bachelor’s degree provided that in the country issuing the degree it entitles access to postgraduate-level studies.
  • The person concerned must submit a document issued by the university where they obtained the degree for access or by the competent authority of that country certifying that the degree, in the country issuing the degree, entitles access to university postgraduate-level studies.

5) Unfinished Spanish bachelor’s degree studies

  • Exceptionally, access to the master’s degree may be accepted, with conditional enrolment, for students with credits of a Spanish degree still outstanding (maximun TFG and of 9 ECTS credits.  This will only be possible if, at the end of the second or subsequent pre-registration periods, if applicable, there are vacancies once all the students with the completed degree have been enrolled..

Admission criteria and selection process

Entry requirements and admission criteria to enrol the master’s degree in administrative management are established in compliance with the articles 16 and 17 of the Royal Decree 1393/2007, modified by the Royal Decree 861/2010. As a general rule, candidates will have to:

  1. Possess an official Spanish graduate degree or a degree issued by an institution of the European Higher Education Space which provides access to a master’s degree in its country of origin.
  2. Graduates from education systems outside of the European Higher Education Space will be able to access this master’s degree without having their degree recognised. In order to do so their degree will be assessed by the University of Lleida as to ascertain the equivalence to the educational level of Spanish official studies and that it grants access to postgraduate studies in its country of origin. In this case, the admission will by no means lead to the recognition of the former degree or grant access to any other master’s degree.
  3. Students from foreign university systems must prove a B2 level in Spanish. If they can not provide this, they must pass a level test.

The selection process of the students will be carried out according to these criteria:

  1. Applicants in possession of the following diplomas will be given priority: Law, Political Science, Public Management and Administration, Industrial Relations, Economical Sciences, Business Sciences and Sociological and Social Sciences. If the number of applicants was higher than the number of places the following items will be assessed (in this case a curriculum vitae will be required):

a) Academic record (up to 4 points)

Pass................................... 1

Good ................................. 2

Excellent ........................... 3

Honours ............................ 4

b) Possessing other diplomas: first cycle (bachelor), second cycle (master) or third cycle (doctoral): up to 1,5 points

c) Work experience: up to 1 point

d) Other qualifications (certified language skills, scientific papers, teaching collaboration, etc.): Up to 2 points

e) Personal interview: 1,5 points

If two or more applicants get the same score and only one place was left applicants will be required to take an exam, which will consist of a series of questions about the Spanish legal system and a case study and its oral presentation. The final score of the exam will result from the arithmetic average of all scores, and the applicant who gets the highest score will be the successful candidate.

2. In the event there were any places left after all candidates with the aforementioned degrees had been admitted applicants that have other degrees will be considered. The following items will be taken into consideration:

a) Academic record (up to 4 points)

Pass................................. 1

Good ............................... 2

Excellent .......................... 3

Honours ........................... 4

b) Possessing other diplomas: first cycle (bachelor), second cycle (master) or third cycle (doctoral): up to 1,5 points

c) Work experience: up to 1 point

d) Other qualifications (certified language skills, scientific papers, teaching collaboration, etc.): Up to 2 points

e) Personal interview: 1,5 points

If two or more applicants get the same score and only one place was left applicants will be required to take an exam, which will consist of a series of questions about the Spanish legal system and a case study and its oral presentation. The candidate who gets the highest score will be the successful candidate.

The Study Commission of the Master’s degree in administrative management, which consists in the master’s coordinator and two of the master’s professors – one in representation of the Department of Public Law and the other in representation of the Department of Private Law – will assess all applications and admissions. If any doubt arose in the course of the process the Committee of Postgraduate studies of the Law and Economics Faculty will decide on the issue.

For those students who have special educational needs due to disabilities the system and procedure of admission will include suitable support and counselling. In this case, an assessment of the necessity of curricular adaptation or alternative studies will be developed.
